A mysterious palace -short story on God and Science

Part 1

In a city there was a big palace with big transparent windows. There was another home beside this palace where a person lives his name is Marx. This person has no other job than to peep in that big palace through the windows.

So Marx observe whatever the activities take place in the palace.

Marx observes that whenever any guest enters the palace as soon as he goes into the main hall, the light's color changes from red to pink. As he sits on the sofa, the fan gets start. As he looks on the TV, it turns on by itself. As the person goes near the fridge and opens its door he finds always food in large amount.

Marx has been observing this same phenomenon since years. So he writes a book namely "laws of palace" in which he explains about his observations. Since Marx has never seen any owner of the palace, he just seen that whenever any guest arrives such and such phenomenon occurs. He never seen any man (owner) serving the guest so he never wrote anything about the owner.

*Part 2*

Now look at this situation from the owner's perspective. The owner of the house one day decided to reveal the mystery of the palace. So he wrote a book namely "secret of palace" in which he wrote "I like my guest to be served by themselves so I developed an automatic home automation system because of which they get served without my intervention. But sometimes I also I decides to serve some of my guests in different manner than my other guests. For all the guests, when they enter in main hall the light changes from red to pink but for the special guest I changed light from red to white. For others the fan gets on when they sit on sofa but for my special guest I also turned on the AC alongwith fan. Other guests have to go to near the fridge and opens the door to get food, but for my this special guest the fridge itself came to them to ask if they need anything. I made this automatic home automation system and I know it's all settings and I can modify it whenever I wish. Though I generally don't change it's settings. What happens with every guests is a by default settings. What happens with my special guest is pro settings."

*Part 3*

Now imagine both of the books "secret of palace" and "laws of palace" published and available in market. So which of them is wrong and which is correct? Obviously both are correct, the book written by Marx is correct because he's been observing the same phenomenon for years, as long as he was doing his job no special guest arrived. So he writes an explanation based on his observations. On the other hand when the owner himself explained the mystery of palace then no doubts left.

Marx has no way to say that owner is lying. Marx also cannot say that what owner is saying is impossible. Because Marx has only seen things from observation. He doesn't even know why these phenomena had been occuring. Owner explained not only how these things were occuring but also why.

So now if a person decides to be the guest of that palace then he should read both the books "laws of palace" because in this "laws are explained in detailed way" such as what happens when person enters in the bedroom, what happens when person enters in kitchen, etc. And he should also read "secret of palace" so that he could really appreciate the one who is doing thses things and he is also powerful to change the settings whenever he wishes.

That person is a fool who says that he doesn't need to read "secret of palace" because he read "laws of palace". If he does that then he is trusting alone an outside observer Marx and that's not very logical thing to do because Marx doesn't know everything about the palace. It's also disrespectful that the guest wants to enjoy in the palace but doesn't want to know about who's the mastermind behind all of this.

Similarly that person is also not intelligent who alone depends on "secret of life" and disregards whatever is written in "law of palace". Because "secret of palace" is written from owner's perspective so it doesn't explain each and every phenomenon in detail rather it explains why such phenomenon occurs and how they can also be changed if owner wishes. If a person wishes to live in the palace he should know both the books so that he can live with ease.

*Part 4*

*This is why we believe in mojiza*

We believe in mojiza and we also believe in Science. Both mojiza and Science are correct at their own point.

Science is not wrong when it says that if you put your hand in fire it will burn. It will definitely burn. But Allah is also not wrong when he said that Ibraheem a.s was thrown in fire yet fire didn't harm him. Science is just an outside observer while Allah is the owner. Allah has power to do whatever he wishes. But in general Allah wishes to apply the same phenomenon (fire burns hand). Just as the owner can do whatever settings he wants to do in his system but he generally put the system on default settings. Marx has no power to stop the owner from changing the settings. Marx is just an outside observer. If Marx never got a chance to witness the palace with a special guest then that doesn't imply that owner is bound to follow the default settings as he used to do with other guests. Owner's intention is independent of Marx's observation. So is Allah's wishes is independent of laws of Science.

We trust Science and depend on it for our daily activities. We don't touch a bare electricity wire. We don't put hands in fire. We don't drive our cars with flat tyres. We don't go on drive without filling petrol. We use the things invented by Science, let it be specs, mobile, clock, oven, aeroplane, etc, etc.

That doesn't mean that we don't trust Allah. We believe that if Allah wishes he can give us different treatment than others. But it's not prudent to expect this. Because generally we all witness the default settings. However if we got stuck because of default settings then we shouldn't be despaired because the owner can always change the settings. And dua is a means to ask Allah to change his settings. For Allah is all powerful and for him nothing is difficult.
