Assalamualaikum (Peace be on you)
Happy Republic Day...:))
We are celebrating our 69th republic day.Everyone is posting cheerful patriotic songs amd music to show their patriotism this is really nice and we should listen and appreciate those things which refresh our patriotism.
But one thing that has been bothering me for a long time is that our attitude towards the constitution of India.
Every year we celebrate independence day and republic day with full excitement yet the crimes are increasing drastically.why is so?Is there something we missing?
What is our responsibility as a citizen of India?what is the meaning of being an aware citizen or patriotic.
Is it only subjected to raise slogans and post patriotic songs on WhatsApp status or is it something above that?
How can a person preaching patriotism and at the same time burning public property in the name of ... whatever..
What a citizen is good for if he doesn't even know about the basics of constitution.What a citizen is good for if he doesn't know the rights of other citizens given by constitution.
Alhamdulillah(All praise is due to God) we are alive and we still have a chance.Lets's make a pledge on this Republic Day that we create the awareness of constitutional values among ourselves and in our society as well So that-
*We can actually play a key role in nation's building and make sincere efforts to make it great.
*We can be a kind of citizens that know their rights and responsibilities and doesn't let any anarchist element to create vandalism, violence or dispute among the society.
*We understand when a psychopath leader try to mislead us on the basis of religion,caste or anything that is irrelevant to nation's growth.
*We can be a kind of citizens who think and ponder on core issues of nation such as education, poverty, health, infrastructure,etc.One of the major core issue is also the increasing gap between rich and poor.When we say we love our country then we have to understand that we also bound to fullfill our duties and pondering on these issues is the duty of gentle citizen.
"God doesn't change the condition of peoples until they(people) change what is in themselves."{Qur'an 13:11}
So we need to change and also encourage others to change.Instead of emotional approach we should develop scientific and rational approach.
Or else independence and republic day will come and go like the previous ones and we feel proud by posting our patriotism on WhatsApp but rest of the things will remain the same Suicides,Frauds,Rapes,Murders, Unemployment,Religious violence,etc everything will gone up and we will be also responsible for that in one way or the other.
When the watchman goes slept then why to blame thief, it's the job of thief to steel and it's watchman's job to keep an eye.Similarly it's the job of greedy leaders to steel our taxes and keep us busy on emotional and useless topics which is nothing to do with nation but it is our job to distinguish between truth and falsehood.When we aren't aware of our constitution and not fulfilling our duty then to blame only the leaders and criminals would be injustice.We all need to ponder on the constitution in case if we really love this country or else our claim of loving this country is nothing more than a deception.
It is what I feel,your opinion may be differ from mine.
