When Life becomes Stagnant; Dealing with boredom

When you search the internet on dealing with boredom you'll find a bunch of articles and everyone of them will tell you some good ways to overcome boredom. They would talk about watching movies, travel, read books, have control on life, etc.   So I won't tell you what they already told and I'll try to present a different perspective which I think is the main cause of boredom.  So let's begin with an allegory. There was a person who was going to a place "honolulu". He boarded on the train.  As the train started running, he got to see amazing views   from the window, the journey was excited. The place where he had to go could arrive anytime, and he had to pull chain to stop the train because that was not the stopping station. But the person had little patience. Understanding "Desires" in the Time bound World

Desires - an intrinsic motivator or an substantial evil? Philosophers and theologians have described it differently. For some, desire is something to be fulfilled immediately to get happiness while for others desire is something a source of evil and must be shunned inorder to live happily.  What I think is a bit differently than both the ideas. I've Divided the Desires in two sets.  1. Wiser Desires 2. Deep Desires 1. Wiser Desires - These are the desires that are socially acceptable and are compatible with this world. Wiser Desires are desires that has to do with improvement. It could be self improvement, or the improvement of society such as propagating a good idea or eradicating a widely accepted wrong tradition.  A desire to help others, a desire to maintain justice, a desire to establish truth are included in this category of desire. A person who pays attention to the world, who ponders over world's fallibility and life's fragility ultimately develop such desires. Wh...
